✳ WELCOME · NATURE PLAYGROUP

Here,
children take
centre stage.

Gartenzwergli playgroup in Ermatingen

We welcome all children from the age of 2½ until they start kindergarten. In a cheerful, nurturing atmosphere, we help children discover the world through play, make friends and grow within a group of children their own age.

Children experience nature in all its seasons with us. We are outdoors in all weather and can take shelter under our shed. Around the fire, we enjoy the morning snacks that everyone brings from home.

CHILDREN LEARN THROUGH PLAY

Our playgroup

Our
playgroup.

Children learn through play. Playing is learning.

01

Free play

Free play is at the heart of what we do. There is so much to discover and explore in nature. Our large garden and small private woodland offer plenty of room for creativity, independent discovery and children’s natural need to move. We spend time outdoors, learning to respect and appreciate nature.

02

Social development

Together, we take our first steps outside the family and learn to handle them with confidence. We learn to share, be patient and work through conflicts together.

03

The journey is the goal.

We love making seasonal crafts with the children. Taking part is always optional. Each creation reflects the child’s stage of development: the process matters more than the finished product. Children can then proudly show what they have made.

04

Children understand through experience

Children love making their own discoveries. They learn through their senses, movement and their own actions. We patiently support them and help them do things independently, in their own way.

05

A sense of belonging

Singing, making music and moving together are part of our regular rituals. We listen to stories together and discover the values they share.

06

First steps away from parents

Some children wave their parents off straight away and dive into play. Others need a little more time. A gentle settling-in period and sensitive support are very important. We respond to each child’s individual needs.

THE JOY OF LANGUAGE

Early language
development.

Language is the key to the world

Wilhelm von Humboldt

Language develops especially well in an environment where children feel safe and understood. We support it playfully throughout everyday activities: free play, singing, listening to stories, exploring and listening to each other. Children should develop at their own pace and discover the joy of language. We build on their interests, listen carefully, encourage open conversations and strengthen their self-confidence.

CARING SUPPORT

Our
team.

Caring support is our priority. We want children to feel they belong, feel comfortable and feel safe with us. As qualified playgroup leaders, we offer a safe, child-friendly environment with a wide choice of play, craft and making activities.

It is very important to us to have enough time to understand and respond to each child’s individual needs. That is why we deliberately keep our groups small. We love listening to children, finding out what is on their minds and encouraging open communication.
