Visits and hosting
This website runs on the existing METANET Plesk web hosting. The hosting provider processes connection data such as IP address, time, requested address, browser information and technical errors to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the site. No analytics or advertising trackers are embedded. Images and fonts are served from the same host.
Sign-in and website editor
The website editor is protected by personal administrator accounts. It stores email addresses, permission roles, password hashes rather than plain-text passwords, and temporary activation records. Content, uploaded images and the time and email address of the most recent content change are stored on this hosting. Sign-in uses a necessary session cookie protected by HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite. Sessions expire after at most eight hours or one hour of inactivity. Temporary counters associated with a hashed IP address limit sign-in attempts. No ChatGPT account is required.
Contacting us
The contact form only prepares a draft in your own email application. The form does not send your name, optional child’s age or message to our server or store them there. Angela receives your details to handle the enquiry only when you send the email yourself. Please do not include health information or other sensitive information about children in your first enquiry.
Storage on your device
Your cookie choice, date and version are stored in your browser’s local storage under gartenzwergli-consent-v1. It is valid for 180 days; your next visit after expiry prompts a new choice. Only with your permission do we also store your language under gartenzwergli-language. Refusing or withdrawing permission removes that language preference. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. The season is calculated using the date in Europe/Zurich; manual season selection applies only to the open page.
External links and processing abroad
Google Maps, the school website, SSLV and other external links open only when clicked. No maps, videos or social widgets are embedded. The respective provider’s privacy rules then apply. The hosting provider’s privacy notice is linked below. The editor and content storage do not connect to OpenAI or Cloudflare.
Retention and security
Contact information is retained to handle enquiries and any resulting relationship. Additional retention depends on required records and legal obligations. Administrator accounts remain while access is authorised. Activation links are time limited and single use. The current content revision and uploaded media remain for site operation. Technical logs are also subject to the hosting provider’s retention rules. Connections are encrypted and editor access is protected.
Your rights
Under applicable Swiss data protection law, you may in particular request access to your personal data, correction or erasure, and withdraw consent for the future. Statutory exceptions and retention duties remain applicable. Contact info@gartenzwergli.ch. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
This notice describes the current technical version. It will be updated if services, hosting or data processing change.
